Fear of Getting Lost While Driving the Highways

Yaahhhhhhhhh I did it!…  Thank you Steve, for helping me break my fear of driving on the highways.  Today, was the day, It all started with a visit to the city of Spiritual Amma Mata Amritanandamayi.  I wanted to visit, so desperately, but had lots of fear.  I looked up the address and it was at a different place and it was much further than I thought.  I started to Google train station times just to find a way to attend and avoid the drive.  I did not want to miss it.  Due to my fear, I got up this morning with a bad cold, I said to myself “great I don’t feel well I will skip this year”,  but something kept on bothering, I have to go.  So I called my cousin and asked if she would join me, and her response was yes.  I said “great, get ready I will pick you up by 1:30 p. m.”.  I was just determined that this would not stop me from seeing Amma.
I printed the direction from Mapquest and got myself ready and plugged the address into the GPS and I was ready to go.  My biggest fear was looking at the following direction-

6.    Merge onto I-294 S toward Indiana(Portions toll).
3.5 mi

7.    Merge onto I-90 W/Jane Addams Memorial Tollway toward Rockford(Portions toll).
25.5 mi

8.    Take the Randall Rd exit.
0.3 mi

9.    Keep left to take the ramp toward Elgin.

Driving on North Avenue, it was a long drive.  I asked myself, am I going in the right direction?  At the same time I did not panic, I kept on driving.  I started to apply my EFT methods; I started tapping on my left collar bone point and repeating “Even though I don’t know the way I will be okay”, “Even though I am lost, I will be okay”, “Even though I don’t know the area, I will be okay”. I also tapped on the side of the eye point and kept repeating the same thing.  At the back of mind, I could just hear Steve’s, voice when we were tapping to help me with this issue.  It was not even a fear, it was just there, and whatever it was it was gone, while I tapped on it, while driving.  I put on a gentle smile and continued my driving, with lots of gratitude, and a thankful mind.  I made it, the drive was wonderful.  I just loved it.  There was beautiful nature, lots of green color everywhere and lots of trees.  I was so proud of myself, I did it.

Then driving back was wonderful, I kept saying this was my fear, this was my fear and again having a very mindful thought for my teacher who helped me break out of this fear.

Thank you Steve, for helping me break out of my fear of driving the highway.  I am sure I will do great by myself, without anyone with me.
